When I was a kid
I believed many fairytales-
Tooth fairy, Santa, Cookie Monster

As I grew,
I found out they were just lies
I felt cheated, mocked, dumb
Nothing I knew was true

Lies
It was all just a web of lies

Now that I am older,
The cycle repeats and now I must tell this circle of lies

After that, it goes on…
A never ending chain of lies that we all live in
